Standard Operating Procedures

A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is not a document, but rather a consensus amongst operators of how they will run a process. Of course, it is critical to capture this consensus in some format that can be reviewed by other operators and revised and improved as new knowledge is gained. SOPs are one of the most useful and common process control technologies.
