In the last few weeks, we have witnessed events that will shape our behavior for many years to come. The novel coronavirus outbreak, the lockdown in many cities around the world, the death toll, the massive hysteria and the economic crisis is unprecedented.  All this brings a new set of experiences and emotions, (differently from other recent illnesses), that will shape the way we think and act, and for sure increase the cost to society.

We have all seen the hysteria caused by the coronavirus outbreak around the world. Just today, Britain told people who were panic-buying and hoarding food to calm down after shoppers emptied the shelves in many supermarkets in the last few days. The food minister George Eustice has assured that there is more than enough food to supply the population, (manufacturers produced close to 50% more than they usually produced), and still supermarket shelves get emptied at record speed[1].
